Summer Ball announcement

Coomera, Australia – July 28, 2017 – Coomera Cubs Baseball Club sign Aaron Whitefield!

Coomera Cubs Baseball Club is proud to announce that current Australian player and Minnesota Twins prospect Aaron Whitefield is set to join the club in its inaugural season in the GBL competition.

Whitefield is carving it up in the Midwest League with Twins A class affiliate, Cedar Rapids Kernals and is looking forward to bringing that form back home for the Cubs and ABL team the Brisbane Bandits.

“The club is really excited to get one of the best players in the country join us for our first year in the GBL.” A Grade Coach Phil Stockman said. “Aaron will bring a really competitive spirit and great culture as we grow the club.”

Club President Nick Day said “Aaron brings a wealth of talent and will be a fantastic role model to our younger players coming up through the ranks. In addition to playing Aaron will join our great coaching staff for our signature Junior Academy program where he can really pass on those amazing skills he has!”

Along with myself and the whole Cubs community we look forward to welcoming Aaron and his family.
