About the Club
The Coomera Cubs Baseball Club is a welcoming, community-driven club with a proud history of providing opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to play, connect, and share their love of baseball. In recent years, our Senior sides have shown real growth and competitiveness across both the GBL (Brisbane) and GCBA (Gold Coast) competitions, and we are now looking to build on that momentum and take the program to the next level.
About the Roles
We are seeking expressions of interest from Senior Coaches to lead our playing group with a focus on culture, development, and performance. Working closely with fellow coaches, team managers, and playing leaders, the successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions, managing game-day operations, and fostering an environment where all players can thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed candidates to make a meaningful impact on the playing group, while continuing to strengthen the strong club culture we have built.
Season Commitment
Preseason – is scheduled to commence in August 2026, with the Summer Season running from October 2026 through to March 2027.
Training – is held twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from approximately 4:30pm to 8:00pm.
Games – commitments are typically one to two times per week, including Friday evenings for Division 1 (7:00pm – 10:00pm), Sundays for all senior grades (8:30am – 5:30pm), and occasional midweek fixtures on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings (approx. 7:00pm – 10:00pm).
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Coach will be expected to play a leading role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable club culture that all players are proud to be part of. This includes communicating effectively with players of all ages, genders, skill levels, and levels of commitment, and working collaboratively with the broader coaching group to plan and deliver engaging, purposeful training sessions each week.
The role also encompasses game-day leadership and management, fair and consistent team selection in partnership with fellow coaches, and ongoing support for players in achieving their individual, team, and club goals throughout the season.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be able to obtain a current Working With Children Check (Blue Card) and a Baseball Queensland/Baseball Australia Level A Coach Accreditation, or be willing to work toward these. Level B or C accreditation would be highly regarded. Previous club coaching experience is desirable, though not essential — we welcome expressions of interest from passionate and committed applicants at all levels.
